Our customer identified a potential issue where if seats were left outside overnight in extremely cold temperatures that the seat weight sensors may still be too cold to be accurately calibrated after installation in the vehicle.
To provide controls to ensure that the seats had been inside the building long enough to warm up for successful calibration.
Identify the entrance of seats into the building, create time stamps and send to MES to be communicated to a downstream quality station and flagged if time in building has been too short.
VEAPS modified existing electrical drawings, modified existing PLC logic and worked with IT to develop an interface with MES. VEAPS was also responsible for installation startup and commissioning of the project.
Project completed within budget in the fall of 2015.
